"Fractals mathematical patterns that are infinitely self-similar. That
is, any small part of a fractal pattern can represent the pattern as a
whole. The Mandelbrot set, studied by mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot,
is the set of values of c in the complex plane for which, under
iterations of the polynomial z_{n+1} = z_{n}^2 + c, remains bounded
(doesn't fly off to infinity). The Mandelbrot set is one of the most
