Classy Chemistry

"Maria S.C. chandelier is made from laboratory test tubes, set in two plywood bands. This surprising material and geometric shape makes this lamp both classic and innovative. The double glass cylinder recalls Art Deco forms in a unique contemporary way. The use of ready-made objects gives an appearance with a Duchamp idea. The lamp is inspired by the Polish scientist, Maria Sklodowska-Curie, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The tubes are detachable and the lamp provides the opportunity for visual experiment by creating a variety of configurations and flower arrangements.

Diameter: 47cmx47cm (18.5 x 18,5 inches) ,
High: 110 cm (43.3 inches) from celing to the bottom edge.
(If you need the different lenght let us know, we can change it for free)

The package contains:
- two rings with the hanging strings,
- ceramic bulb socket,
- ceramic ceiling rose
- 96 test tubes (60+36)

Bulb is not included. (E27 type, max to 100 Watt)

Tubes are very durable. They should not been broken in transport but you will receive some additional test tubes, just in case.

The lamp is very easy to install. You need it just to hang and put the tubes into the ring.

To arrange the rainbow, we have used food colouring powder (3 basic colors: red, blue, yellow) and mixed it in different proportions. Food powders are easy to remove, they do not color of glass permanently."
