Love Potion #9

"I couldn't decide whether to call this piece Love Potion #9 or My Chemical Romance or just the self explanatory Lab Beaker. To be exact, it is an Erlenmeyer flask. You choose!

::: TELL ME MORE ::

Beads in the Belfry went to her mad scientist lab to come up with this one. More sweet than mad this necklace represents a labor of love, literally! OK. I might stop with the bad jokes now.

I have sawn a chemical lab beaker complete with dainty heart out of sterling silver sheet metal. The metal has a brushed finish and hangs from sterling silver rolo chain.

Scientists, Chemists, Biologists, lovers of all things nerdy - this one is for you! Alternatively, loved ones of these people can give this as a gift for Valentine's day, back to school, graduation presents or just because."

"Trinitrotoluene - TNT Molecule SAFETY THIRD tshirt -- Junior S - XL

I made this style custom, and it came out so well, I'm offering it again.

Formed by the nitration of toluene, we all know the explosive power of TNT when detonated. In fact, it's the standard measure of explosions, like bombs -- a tonne of TNT is used as a unit of energy; kilotons and megatons of TNT have traditionally been used to rate the energy output, and hence destructive power, of nuclear weapons (another fascination of mine in my T-shirts).

So this T-shirt celebrates that molecule, with characteristic SafetyThird irony. I printed the molecule with the benzene ring centered over the boob. On the back, the words SAFETY and THIRD cross with TNT and show evidence of destructive explosions.

This is a very nice skinny T with a jewel neckline.

Wolfram, duh!

"Some geeks like beer. Which is fine, and for them we have created our Periodic Table Beer Pillow ( see
http://www.etsy.com/listing/56467223/black-beer-pillow) However, some geeks are a little more sophisticated than others, and for those who fall more on the suave and debonair side of the lab table, we have the W I Ne pillow.

We're not exactly sure how the great vineyards are able to get a combination of tungsten, iodine and neon to have a fruity bouquet, but we have learned that there are some things in life that just can't be answered. Like the the sorites paradox, the Goldbach conjecture, and where the other sock goes."

The science of investigating small objects using such an instrument is called microscopy. The term 'microscopic' means minute or very small, not visible with the eye unless aided by a microscope.

They are perfect since they are lightweight, but are still very classy and elegant and are of great quality. These cuff links are heavy duty, but not water proof. Please do not get them wet. Greetings with Genes

"This card is decorated with strands of DNA, hand carved and hand stamped by myself. If you have a particularly geeky friend, this is a great alternative to a normal greeting card.

The image is stamped down the whole card in a dark purple and so can either be oriented vertically or horizontally. The card itself measures 4" x 5.5" and is acid free. The envelope will have a matching star or heart stamped on the flap. Let me know if you would prefer one over the other, or if you would like any other customizations. Keep It In A Jar

"Give your heart!

A tiny heart with exceptional detail placed within a miniature jar. All components are worked by hand from glass. Heart “floats” in the middle of the jar with a discreet clear post sealed to the back.

Nobody likes a broken heart, so we have constructed this one from durable borosilicate glass- the same kind of glass used in scientific labs. The jar is a completely sealed vacuum, and does not open.

The height is approximately 1 3/4".
Each "Heart in a Jar" is hand made and has slight individual variation. Yours will be just as lovely as the one pictured.

Send your love! Our "Heart in a Jar" will come beautifully gift wrapped and with a love note from you. (To include a note, please specify what you’d like your message to say in “note to seller” during check out)."

I Wish This Was

"Many cities are full of vacant storefronts and people who need things. My New Orleans neighborhood is still without a full-service grocery store. So I made these fill-in-the-blank stickers to provide an easy tool to voice what we want, where we want it. Just fill them out and put them on abandoned buildings and beyond. The stickers are custom vinyl and they can be easily removed without damaging property. It’s a fun, low-barrier tool for citizens to provide civic input on-site, and the responses reflect the hopes, dreams, and colorful imaginations of different neighborhoods.
This project launched in New Orleans with support from the Ethnographic Terminalia exhibit Nov-Dec 2010. Thousands of free stickers were available in corner stores, cafes, bookstores, bars, hair salons, and other places around the city. Grids of blank stickers were (and still are) posted on vacant buildings. See select photos below and many more on the official project site. Share photos on Flickr (tag your photos “iwishthiswas”). Spread the sticker love to your city by buying the stickers here! These thick, high-quality vinyl stickers will ensure that future business owners can easily remove them (vs. DIY paper stickers). All proceeds support more neighborhood projects in public space. Responses are being mapped and made sense of. And a digital version called Neighborland is in the works.
Buy stickers here!
P.S. A note to those concerned about the subjunctive mood (I wish this was / I wish this were)"
